Course - Basic Web Design. Course Instruction on introduction to hypertext markup language (HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, JS), Web standards, ADA Section 508 and compliance; and the overall Web publication process. Includes numerous practical exercises in the creation and publication of Web pages and the construction of coherent Web sites. Includes 2 hours discussion, 2 hours activity per section. Mentor / taught 120 students (2 sections) each semester in basic web design skills including; web site analysis, information architecture, design and coding, development, testing and debugging across multiple platforms, aspects maintenance and operational support of computer software applications and knowledge and experience with cross-browser and cross platform issue/testing/de-bugging. Utilized Creative Cloud Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Drupal, Acrobat, Fireworks for site code creation. Mentor/taught basic HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript / PHP / SQL, for site code creation, presented entire course in online Blackboard presentation methods.

This is a 5,000 plus web pages site maintained by multiple Content Editor Roles, using Drupal8 WCMS. This involved coding WK1.0 from scratch (due to proprietary imbedded code in the previous version) in Notepad/Dreamweaver/Firefox. During construction/testing/debugging (August 2008 - December 31 2008) created the West Kingdom User Experience (all visuals). I implemented design, structure, content strategies and policies of the West Kingdom site. The site was constructed for Drupal4 and now utilizes Drupal8.

WK Version 1.5, 2.0 involved Photographer recruiting, site management, committee membership, mentor-ship and general over site of 45 sub-domains (through individual web masters) on a global scale. The physical locations of all sub-domains region are: Alaska to southern California (north-south and Korea to Nevada (east-west)). I remain the primary steward (Art Director) of this site’s design philosophies. This site uses a content repository or a database to store page content, metadata, and other information assets that might be needed by the system which is all managed by Drupal (which provides the foundation for collaboration, offering the ability to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation). Drupal administration of this site was chosen because of the“fat client” requirements of the site.

Marketing Director

Converted large File Maker Pro Catalog document to InDesign, while incorporating multiple smaller extract-able “books” into the overall catalog design for both individual publication and mass run use. Projects included: all catalog materials, posters, ad campaigns, newspaper, direct mail, pieces and internet images. Maintained client support by performing administrative maintenance, platform Q and A testing and version release testing, Ensured design consistency and version control. Produced all client product photo shoots.

UI/UX Designer

Auctiva Corporation   April 2006 - February 2008, Chico, CA

Constructed presentation layer (template engine) RWD (Responsive Web Design) displays through Auctiva Corporation (April 2006 - February 2008) as a UI/UE Designer. The content to website visitors of those sites was based on individual set(s) of templates, which were XSLT files confined to specific use within Ebay parameters.

Mulitimeda Design Specialist

Yuba Community College District   January 1995 - June - 2003, Chico, CA

Produced all visual communication materials for web, multimedia and print materials. Provided consultation services to all campus clients. Determined policy/procedural guidelines with the Distance Education Director, Instructional Faculty, and staff for WebCT presentation practices. Developed photographic images from film/digital media, maintained/organized storage of items web/print collegiate content and all its contributors. Developed/maintained support and training functions for web collegiate content. Performed administrative maintenance/design functions for multiple online program courses. Maintained Section 508, ADA compliance. Ensured district-wide design consistency, compliance/version control.
